Workshop: create your unique mascot with runes
According to a myth, Odin discovered the runes when he hung on the wind-blown tree Yggdrasil for nine nights and days in order to learn wisdom. Just as he was about to die, he found the runes, grabbed them and earned his life by giving the best gift to people – a tool to get to know the inner world.
Runes (translated from old scandinavian – a secret) were used as a means of communication between the natural and supernatural. They also reflect our inner journey and challenges we face. By knowing the meaning of each rune, we can get the answers to relevant questions.
This workshop is suitable for adults as well as for children, because everyone deserves to make a unique amulet. Educator Tadas describes this workshop as one of the most successful projects as runes involve everyone into a world of the unknown.
