Gauja National Park on a sup board

Price: 120 Eur / person
Duration: 3 days
Moderate level
Group size: From 10 people

We want to invite you to explore our neighborhood country Latvia. And the best way to do so (regarding us) is by paddling through Gauja river on a SUP board! And if you still think that SUP boarding with all the tourist equipment is hard – let us prove you wrong, as we believe it’s a wonderful way of traveling. 💚Our tour can be adjusted to beginners as well as to intermediate “suppers”.

Gauja National Park was established one year earlier (in 1973) than Aukstaitija National Park. We invite you to get to know it together and recharge your batteries with good energy while paddling through Gauja river.

The route Cesis-Sigulda (45km)

Plan is to start driving on Friday. We will meet in Ignalina, get all the equipment needed and drive towards Latvia.

Once there, we will decide on the paddling distance as we will be spending the night in one of the wild campsites on the river shore.  We will take care of products, but everyone will be in charge of something when starting the fireplace and cooking.

Saturday morning will start with some warm up exercises and tasty breakfast. We will pack our stuff and start paddling towards our finish line – “Dainas” campsite. It is a private campsite where we will be spoiled by a hot tub and a cozy evening by a fireplace. Again, we will all cook dinner together.

Next morning will start the same: warm up, breakfast, packing. We will drive to Sigulda and have a nice hike there. Planned distance is about 15 kilometers. We will choose a nice place to have lunch during our hike. After the hike, we will head back home (to our starting point – Ignalina).
