Sightseeing tour by minibus

Price: from €270
Duration: from 4 hours
Group size: from 7 people

Get to know the most picturesque surroundings of Aukstaitija national park by traveling it together with our local guides.

We will start the journey by stopping at Salos ethnoarchitectural farmstead. An exceptional feature of the ecomuseum in Salos II village is the traditional life and the multifunctional economic activity that will be authenticated and interpreted here. Then we will head towards Ladakalnis – an extraordinary monument of nature. We will tell you a story how and why this name was given to it. The hill itself is considered as the central part of Aukstaitija national park. From here you can see 6 different lakes and a beautiful panoramic view.

The route goes through hill fort of Šiliniškis where on one side you can find Ladakalnis and the famous mound of Ginuciai on the other side. Locals call it „The back of a sleepy dragon“. We will then drive up to Siliniskiai tower and climb it up to see ANP from high above. After that a visit to Ginuciai is awaiting. Here we will visit an old wooden water mill and get a chance to refresh while being flushed under the water cascades. Our adventure will lead us to the oldest village of ANP – Stripeikiai, where the beekeeping museum was found many years ago. Settled in an old homestead, museum pours old and the new worlds together: you can hear bees in the hives and visit interactive exhibitions in the old buildings. On the way back to the campsite, we will stop by Medziukalnis water springs, where you will be able to refill your bottles with fresh, tasty water.
